LYNDON ELECTRIC DEPARTMENT

Since 1896, Lyndon Electric Department has provided reliable electricity and superior service to the community of Lyndon and the surrounding towns. Lyndon Electric generates, transmits, and distributes energy to a total of 13 towns in the area.

Lyndon Electric is the largest municipal electric department within the state of Vermont, based on square miles of service territory. Currently serving over 5,700 customers.


Outage Notification

The scheduled outage for Wednesday the 28th of February had to be cancelled due to weather conditions. The new outage will be as follows.

 Customers of The Town of Lyndon Electric Department (LED) in the following areas will experience an electrical power outage on Wednesday March 6th at 9:00 am lasting until approximately 12:00 pm with a rain date of Thursday March 7th from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. This make ready work is being done for NEK Broadband allowing fiber installation.

 Areas affected include South Wheelock Rd. from the 4 corners to Standard Mt. Rd, Ministers Hill, Jills Hill, Red Schoolhouse, Leroux Rd., Sherburne Rd., Wolf Den Rd., Blakley Rd. and Ide Mt. Rd.
